Good afternoon, We're pleased to inform you that Peasley Middle School, as well as Bethel and Petsworth Elementary, have been approved to end their secure status, allowing for the dismissal of all students and staff on time. All afternoon activities will proceed as scheduled. This decision follows close collaboration with the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office, and we appreciate their assistance throughout this process. We also extend our gratitude to parents and the community for their trust and patience. We encourage parents/guardians to review the Standard Response Protocol resources shared on the GCPS website on April 26, 2024. Additionally, we thank students, staff, and family members for adhering to our safety response. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Sincerely, Gloucester County Public Schools
