Bethel Elementary School Iva rverychild. our voice Dear Bethel Elementary School Families, Welcome back from your Bethel Bears PTA! Your PTA executive board officers have been busy! We have been planning for the school year and have been searching for ways to support our staff, students, and Bethel community. Currently, we have our first few spirit nights scheduled for 9/23 and 11/18 at Your Pie Pizza here in Gloucester from 4pm to 8 pm. We will also be selling our school merchandise and we will have prizes to win at the prize wheel! Your Pie Pizza will give us a percentage of all of the sales to go towards our events and to enrich the lives of the students and staff. I am honored to introduce your 2021-2022 PTA executive board. These women have been working tirelessly to plan some amazing events for the students and staff. We would like to encourage you to join our PTA. Memberships are now available through a contactless, online link or completing & returning the printed form with your payment. (Joining PTA membership does NOT mean you have to volunteer or serve as a board member.) By joining and supporting our Bethel Bears PTA, you have a voice/vote in the decisions that the PTA makes. We welcome you to attend our general association meetings and will be posting dates on those soon! Our goal is to have at least one PTA member represented per child in our school. With your support, the Bethel Elementary School PTA can provide funds for students reading programs, technology, Reflections programs, safety equipment and so much more. I'm very excited to announce that your Bethel PTA now has a few ways you can help support us. Check us out on our Memberhub website. The link can be found on our Bethel Bears PTA Facebook Page as well as at the bottom of this newsletter. You can now purchase Bethel merchandise, PTA memberships and donate to our Annual Fund all in one location! We are also registered with Amazon Smiles. Whenever you shop through Amazon Smiles, Amazon will donate 0.5% of your qualifying purchases directly to Bethel Elementary PTA, at no extra cost to you. Why join the PTA? your membership helps our school have a voice! The more memberships, the bigger impact and higher chance our voices can be heard not just in the school but in the state of virginia nad the national PTA. Also, when you join you are helping support students, teachers, school functions, and school grounds. It takes a village to give the best to our kids. It keeps you informed iwth what is going on in and around the school and honestly we couldnt do the things we do without you. Not to mention youll also receive great discounts! IT doesnt mean you have to voluneer o r you have to show up to our meetings. Yes, we could love to have you and get to know you, but we understand how busy life is. Come when and if you can. You are always welcome to join us. We love new ideas and are always looking for ways to improve. How long do memberships last? when you pay the $7per member, it is valid until the beginning of the next schoolyera. You have to renew your memberships every year. We are hoping to make the process easier by next year. Who can Join? We have parents, grandparents, other family members, friends, students, and business owners join. Basically, anyone who wants to support your bethel bear pta and students.
