Bethel Elementary School

Congratulations to Bethel Elementary 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year, Ms. Tara Lord.  Ms. Lord is the Technology Resource teacher and is very passionate about giving our students many opportunities to thrive in and out of the classroom.  On top of being an amazing Technology Resource Teacher, Ms. Lord is also the sponsor for Bethel Running Club, Robotics Club, Bears with Bravery, Anchored for Life, Girls who Code, Great Computer Challenge and is also the yearbook advisor and news crew advisor.  She started a soccer group at Peasley Middle School for athletes interested in improving their soccer skills since there is currently not a soccer team.  Ms. Lord was nominated for this year's Computer Science Educator of the Year Award for Virginia and was pivotal in acquiring the Purple Star Award for our school.  Her dedication to our school is astounding and we are so proud and lucky that she calls herself a Bethel Bear!
